The ideals of duty, honour and loyalty are called into question when the ghosts of war return to haunt a well-respected family man now charged with helping to commit a civilian atrocity when in command during his military stint in Vietnam.

Ben Tyson (Golden Globe winner Don Johnson, Miami Vice) is the embodiment of
the American dream. A successful corporate vice president in Dallas’ oil and gas industry, he’s a happily married family man. But at 19, Tyson was challenged to prove his mettle as a young lieutenant in Vietnam. There, on a sweltering day, one of his soldiers was taken out by a sniper’s bullet as they advanced upon the Misericorde Hospital, which brandished a neutral flag. Now, two decades later, Dr. Steve Brandt, the platoon’s medic, is claiming that Tyson ordered his platoon to lay siege, take no hostages, leave no survivors, and burn whatever remained to the ground—a secret his men swore to take to their graves. This accusation brings on charges and starts media frenzy in retaliation.
Allegedly, this tragedy has contaminated Brandt’s of conscience for years. Facing mortality and angry with his lot in life, Dr. Brandt is going public—regardless of the consequences to Tyson. Though the shocking accusation of war crimes creates a firestorm of publicity, Tyson—facing a court-martial on charges of murder—is keeping his word. But what really happened at the Misericorde Hospital? Tyson’s strict code of silence calls into question the reality of that fateful day, the extent of his involvement, and the plausibility of his motives. As the trial unfolds, his family, career, and personal sense of honour hang in the balance. The past unravels, and only one person can reveal the truth about Tyson—a truth that can finally set him free.
