MCBRIDE 7: FALLEN IDOL
When McBride’s friend and idol, a famed defence attorney is stabbed to death, he’s hired to defend the Latino teenager who’s the main suspect. Soon McBride realises that to prove his client’s innocence he’ll have to expose his idol’s secrets.
McBride is shocked when his good friend, a famed defence attorney, is stabbed to death outside his home. The police have arrested a Latino teenager caught pawning the attorney’s stolen Rolex. To complicate matters, the suspect’s sister wants McBride to defend her brother.
The accused claims he had found the watch alongside the road near the crime scene when he took a motorcycle he had been repairing for a test drive. The suspect has a clean reputation and McBride thinks it unlikely that he would stab a man 16 times to steal a watch. With the evidence against his client mounting, McBride realises that to win his case he may have to expose the secrets not only of his idol but of several people who were close to him.
