DINOTOPIA 5: THE VIRUS
The Earthfarm is threatened by a deadly virus released by the devious LeSage and lovestruck Karl ends up in a time-loop he can only get out of by kissing a toad – What’s he to do to get unstuck in time? It’s the last thing he could have imagined.
The peaceful population of Dinotopia faces its greatest threat when it falls mercy to a devious woman eager to gain control of their paradise. But love endures, and when it comes to matters of the heart, the lessons learned on Dinotopia can be quite an education.
The promise of a new life on the Earthfarm is threatened by a virus infecting the harvesting Chasmosaurs. Without them, the crops will fail within days, rendering the inhabitants without food. Worse yet, an invaluable medicinal plant has been stolen. Who could sink so low as to dispatch a roving band of thieves bent on depriving the humans and dinosaurs of medicine? As cold-hearted LeSage schemes to bring the “lizard lovers” of Dinotopia to their knees, Karl and Marion prepare to confront her with a bargaining tool of their own. But is it enough to melt the heart of a woman accustomed to wielding extreme and dangerous powers?
Matters become further complicated when Karl, in a fumbled attempt to impress Marion, stumbles into a time trap. It’s Equinox Eve—the ideal night for romance and a chance for Karl and Marion to be alone under the stars. They wind up arguing however, and an odd stranger named Lok gives Karl an opportunity to right his wrongs—by kissing a Wartosa Vulgaris, the ugliest toad in existence. Karl finds himself back where he started: in Marion’s arms, giving it one more try. If only it was one more try. Realising that he won’t be able to proceed to the next day until he can fix the problem, Karl’s night of passion becomes a never ending procession of arguments and frog-kissing. What’s a lovestruck man to do to get unstuck in time? It’s the last thing he could have imagined.
