DINOTOPIA 4: NEW HORIZONS

What could a paradise like Dinotopia be missing? The native humans and dinosaurs can’t imagine until they’re exposed to the time-warping secrets of a stranger’s life—as well as the simple sporting pleasures of the competitive world their new friend Frank left behind.

When a Stegosaurus is felled by the poisoned arrow of Cortez, a 60-year-old hunter, the Earthfarm residents are left to wonder: Who would hunt a Steg? Cortez’s motivation is an elixir of youth extracted from the blood of the dinosaur that lived longer than any other. Its powers are not lost on LeSage, who vows to help Cortez in his research—if she can reap the benefits. Unfortunately, the elixir works too well, leaving the two conspirators growing younger and younger by the hour and in desperate need of Karl and Marion’s help to act their age again.

Meanwhile, Frank has his own idea for bringing new life to this utopia insert long dash an old-fashioned boxing match between his son David and David’s nemesis Alano, an Outsider. When news of Dinotopia’s first sporting event in four hundred years reaches the recovered LeSage, she raises the stakes with a wager of her own, and if her pal Alano wins, it could spell doom for Waterfall City. Suddenly, David finds himself in the unenviable position of being the ultimate defender of the paradise. Can he win? Not if LeSage has the final say, for she has a few slick moves of her own.
