THEY SHOOT DIVAS, DON’T THEY?
A young woman infiltrates the inner circle of a rock icon and becomes the star’s invaluable girl Friday. However, after a string of odd accidents, the star realises that her girl Friday is a psychotic killer bent on replacing her in the limelight.
The frenzied world of rock and roll becomes the nightmare backdrop for one woman at the top of her game—and one woman on the edge.
On the eve of her 40th birthday, Sloan McBride (Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Beals, Anne Rice’s Feast of All Saints, Flashdance) is still one of the most popular rock icons in the world—a Grammy Award winner who has turned a troubled career into a megastar corporation. She’s weathered drugs, drinking, and rehab, and she’s always come out on top—thanks to a close circle of friends, including Trevor Mason (Johnathon Schaech, Houdini), the lover she can always count on. When she hires Jenny Crane (Keri Lynn Pratt, America’s Sweethearts) to join her fleet of assistants, Sloan feels blessed again. The fresh-scrubbed Wisconsin girl is enthusiastic, honest, and a loyal fan. But Sloan’s top assistant and best friend, Diane, isn’t so taken with the newcomer. Her suspicions are dismissed as jealousy, until Diane is found murdered.
Aroused by her own suspicions, Sloan hires a detective to shed light on Jenny’s background. It appears the sweet girl is not from Wisconsin. Her name isn’t Jenny, and she’s far from being Sloan’s number one fan. Disturbed that she’s let a total stranger into her life, Sloane attempts to fire her. But the damage has been done. Her girl Friday has already infiltrated the singer’s entourage, and one by one, has poisoned them against her. That’s only the beginning of Jenny’s twisted plan. A second murder now brings Jenny one step closer to her ultimate prey—and a terrifying end game between two women who share an unexpected past, a shocking secret, and a chilling closing act that can only end in death.
