LADIES NIGHT

A high profile insurance investigation leads to the unravelling of a mysterious series of murders.

When Carol Ross disappears hours after withdrawing over $300,000 from the company account, investigators Jesse Grant (Colin Ferguson) and Susan Vercillino (Claudette Mink) are called in to retrieve the money. Grant, an ex police officer disenchanted with the force’s conviction rate, is intrigued by Carol’s disappearance and a hunch tells him the case is far more sinister than some missing cash.

Jesse and Susan soon discover that Carol is only one in a string of similar cases. However, there is one common link – the use of a delivery service called Freeway Fliers, run by a young man named Zach. Further investigation reveals that Zach’s father, Art, (Paul Michael Glaser) is master minding the operation. Art is a conman and serial murderer. He preys on lonely, single women, seduces them and then persuades them to embezzle huge sums of money from their employers, before killing them. He uses Zach to identify his targets.

During the course of the investigation Jesse and Susan stumble on the file of a woman named Nancy Pavalek, an old case fitting the same profile. With a little more probing they discover that she was Zach’s mother, and Art’s first victim. Zach is devastated by this news, for years having believed that Nancy had abandoned them. In a dramatic turn of events, he joins Jesse and Susan in a dangerous plot to prevent Art from taking another victim.

An exciting climax, culminating in a hostage shootout, Ladies Night makes for gripping, edge-of-your-seat viewing.
