JANE DOE 4: TIL DEATH DO US PART
An arms dealer dies of an apparent heart attack while serving a life sentence, but when his body disappears from the prison morgue Cathy Davis is called in to investigate, whilst also having to explain her double life to her disbelieving husband.
Soccer mom by day. Undercover agent Jane Doe by night. Cathy’s worlds will collide when she comes clean to her family and solves the most dangerous case of her double-life…
Suave arms dealer Armand Nordstrom has agreed to rat out the mob to NSA operatives and nail the big boss, Louis Angelini. Unfortunately the day Nordstrom is to turn states evidence, his body is found in a shallow grave. All the clues lead back to Angelini, who nixes a Witness Protection deal in favour of life without parole. The tough guy says he prefers to die behind bars. Six months later he does, from a massive heart attack. Only minutes before he’s fitted for a body bag, the corpse disappears from the prison hospital. Not a single guard, prisoner, or doctor can shed any light on what happened. It’s a situation that calls for the expertise of a suburban soccer mom like Cathy.
As undercover agent Jane Doe, all she has to do is find out how a dead man managed to be smuggled out of a maximum security prison. If she can figure out who did it, she might be able to find out who’s running his arms operation and finish them off for good. But Jane Doe has her theory: No one stole Angelini’s body. Because Angelini isn’t dead. If her professional life wasn’t causing her enough anxiety, Jane Doe has finally been given clearance to divulge the truth of her double-life to her husband Jack. Convincing the disbelieving spouse is not easy. Tough time to catch doubt from the man she loves because a dangerous criminal is on the run and fully prepared to defend his nefarious operation to the death—just not his.
When it comes to brilliant puzzles, the most brilliant mind is the world is set to solve them—but this one is personal.
