ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS
After winning an ‘All I Want for Christmas’ contest, Jesse wishes for a new dad, making Sarah’s single-mom status national news, much to the despair of her friend Ben, whose emerging feelings for her are being undone by a company’s publicity stunt.
‘Tis the season for making dreams true. If everything goes according to plan for one young boy, he just may be sharing this Christmas with a new dad.
Ever since her husband died, Sarah Armstrong (Emmy nominee Gail O’Grady, NYPD Blue) has divided her time between working at a community centre and caring for her nine-year-old son, Jesse (Jimmy ‘Jax’ Pinchak, The Polar Express). When Jesse wins the “All I Want for Christmas” contest sponsored by a toy company, his wish comes as no surprise—to find a new dad. When Sarah’s single-mom status becomes a national news story, she’s not the only one who’s taken aback. Her longtime friend, Ben Grant (Robert Mailhouse, Days of Our Lives), a newspaper writer and Jesse’s best buddy, finds his own feelings for Sarah finally emerging—just as they’re being undone by a toy company’s publicity stunt.
The most frustrated one of all is Jesse. He’s been rooting for Ben all along, but the only man making any headway is Roger, (Greg Germann, Ally McBeal) the contest’s wealthy, but totally unworthy, dating chaperone. After every one of Sarah’s bad dates and potential suitors fall by the wayside, Roger’s the one who finally proposes. A stunned Sarah accepts. The public loves a happy ending. Of course, so do Ben and Jesse, who’ve bonded even more over their mutual dislike for Jesse’s potential new father. Now, they have to work hard and fast to make that happy ending come true for them—and ultimately for Sarah, if she’s willing to listen to heart.
Just in time for the holidays, All I Want for Christmas is a surprise romantic treat for anyone who believes in the magic of love, friendship, and family.
